Does bullet type have any effect on pressure builup? If a recipe says 150gr BT, can you use a 150gr flat base?[?]

  Shape has some impact but the length of the bearing surface has more influence on pressure. As long as you are not at the tippy-top-ragged-edge of pressures with one bullet using a different bullet should not matter.
