rimfire shoot off - where to zero scope?

    You're going to have to adjust elevation as you go out, the drop at 225 yds is huge.

    I figure that at 100 yards it is about the same vel. as a 22lr at the muzzle, so if zero'd at 100 it will drop 8-9 inches at 200.. its the up close stuff and 200-225 that I'm wondering about.

    Guess I should find out the BC of the bullet CCI uses and find me a ballistics calculator online...

    Last time I shoot 200yds the guy next to me was aiming 22" above the bull. He didn't have enough adjustment to shoot right on.

    I'm already sighted in at 100 yards... to hit clay pigeons on the 225 yard berm, I have to put the thick part of the crosshair (where it goes from 3x to 1x thick) just over the clay to hit it...

    Did some checking last night, 22wmr 40grn solid starting at 1800fps will drop 11 inches at 200 if dead on at 100.
