what shells for older gun

i have an old 16 gauge diamond arms no rust or pits and locks up
tight is it ok to shoot factory loads from this? and i asume
the high brass does not indicate anything about pressure nor does low
brass. any thoughts? winchester super x game loads for example

  It's impossible to say if the gun is safe to fire at all. Have it checked out by a gunsmith first.

  I think all new shells made in the U.S. are 2&3/4 inch but many older guns had chambers shorter then this ask the gunsmith you are going to take it to if he has a chamber length gage.
