357 Sig Bullets-Lead/Plated
Just got a EFK barrel in 357 Sig for my Glock 35, 40 Caliber. Here's the problem, you need to seat the bullets to an COAL of 1.140" or less to feed in the magazine. Otherwise, it drags and hangs up in the mag. With most conventional 9mm bullets both cast lead and plated, or jacketed, it will be so short that you can push the bullet back into the case. Naturally, if that happens when shooting the pressures will go through the roof.
Does anyone know of a good (cheap) lead/plated bullet on the market that is built specifically for the 357 Sig and to address this seating problem?
The 357 Sig cartridge conversion sounded like a good alternative to buying an entire gun in 9 x 23 or one of the super fast 9mm calibers. But it's been a problem since the get go. Upon receiving the EFK barrel, I had to send it back because the chamber was cut .021 short and wouldn't accept the cartridge. The casing when seated stuck up above the barrel hood. Now, trying to reload I am finding that most conventional 9mm bullets won't work. If the accuracy sucks, I will have to bite the bullet and spend the money on a good 1911 style in 38 Super or 9x23. I have owned them in the past and had great success. That's what I get for buying plastic guns. LOL

I have a glock 31 that I reload for. Has stock barrel, does not like any kind of lead bullets. I use rcbs dies. Never had issues with bullet seat back. I use rainer 124 flat nose fmjs. I put a small taper crimp to take the flare out of it. The 357 sig glock barrel has a fully supported chamber. 0 -
The 357 sig does not like nato pointed style bullets. 0
