Nickel plating peel
At the range yesterday I noticed one of my .38 reloads ended up peeling the plating off the case. Thew load was a mild one, and there were no signs of overcharging on any of the other rounds. Does this sort of thing happen with nickel cases as they age? Is it the result of repeated cycles of stretching & resizing?

the plating does come off after reloading some will last longer then others the power of the load does not do much in the number of times before this starts 0 -
The sizing die weakens the nickle plating. Sometimes it shows wear, and other times peals when scratched. 0 -

Agree, some brands have more nickel than others, the more you size, the more nickel is removed. Does not matter how hot your loads are.0 -
Thanks for the answers guys.
