Brass damage?
I have just finished tumbling these 30-30 shells and noticed that more then half have these dents in the brass near the neck. I assume that maybe I tumbled too many or too long? But my main concern is if they can still be safely fired and if this will affect the accuracy of them.

Have you resized them yet? 0 -
Yep, Resized and thought I would tumble to get all the lube off them.
Haven't been using a tumbler long so a bit inexperienced on it.

You are probably using too much lube - that is one of the major causes of "Dings" on resized cases. All you need is the thinnest film. 0 -
Those dents didn't come from tumbling 0 -
Thanks! Really had no idea what caused that.
So can I use the shells or should I discard them?
I believe they would pop back out again if I fired them but don't want to sacrifice accuracy or endanger anyone.

As long as they chamber OK, the dents will "Iron" right out by firing.
[EDIT]///and then I looked at the posted pics - those are huge dents, not "Dings" - I think I would probably put those in the Junkpile.0 -
Load em and shoot em. 0 -
