Dont' know about 4895, But I've never had a deer take more than 2 steps after being hit with a 150 gr Hornandy SST and 50.1 gr of Varget.

Mine is 46-to 48 grains of IMR-4895. I load seeking accuracy adjusting charge to find the sweet spot. A dead deer never knows if the bullet left the muzzle at 2750 FPS or 2580 FPS. A well placed shot through the vitals will kill the deer!

don't sell yourself short because it's a pump,I've taken many eastern whitetails with a 760 or 7600. Locked in the chamber that bullet soesn't know weather it's in a bolt or a pump! Barrel length will have a degree of ballistic differents. My 7600 30-06 is a tack driver and I've never seen a deer with a built in chrono. to tell how fast the projectile was traveling that killed it! All that being said I don't have a pet load using IMR 4895 and a Nosler 150 b.t.

Do you use small base dies for your pumps ? 4895 would be good in a carbine , But I like Something a little slower in a 20 - 22" barrel W-760 and IMR-4350 work well with 150-165Gr bullets .

I use small base dies. I think I will start with 46 grains of IMR 4895 and work up from there. Appreciate the info from all.
