9x19 to 9x17
Would trimming the 9x19 to 17mm work as a substitute for the 9x17/.380? The 380's rim dia is smaller but the otehr measurements seem very close.[:)]

I don't think it is close enough. The 9x19 Para case is substantially tapered and the .380 is straight walled. I don't think you can make it fit. Although there has been a fair amount of 9.2x18 Makarov made out of 9x19. 0 -
On top of what Hawk said, you would have to turn the rim down to 380 size to fit the breach face as the 9mm is larger in diameter. 0 -
