Hello because the model 43 is a design that has a small bolt diameter and a fairly weak firing pin spring you may get better groups when using small pistol primers . Little Gun seems to be a very good powder.

I've been using 13 gr. of L'il Gun with either 40 gr V-Max or 45 gr Sierra hornet bullets in my 77/22 Hornet. Velocity exceeds 2800 fps and groups are about half the size I get with any other powder. I've used Rem 6 1/2 and Fed 205 primers and can't tell much difference.

My Winchester 43 is in .218 Bee and I get blanked primers with pistol primers or Rem 6 1/2 so I switched to Rem 7 1/2 in that rifle.

+1 on Lil Gun Powder, best powder for 35 to 45 grain bullets. I use 12.5 gr. with 35 gr v-max. for 3000+ fps from my Ruger #3. It is as accurate as any load I have tried.
