Sako 300WSM twist question

I've been looking at a Sako in 300WSM and noticed it comes with a 1:11" twist barrel. All the other 300WSMs I checked (Winchester, Browning, Kimber, Savage) come with 10" twist. I would load it with 150-165 grain non-lead bullets and wonder if that slower twist would cause a problem stabilizing these fairly long bullets. Any thoughts or experience on this?

  the 10twist will stabilize clean up to 240gr pills. The 11 twist will probably stabilize clean up to 190-200gr pills. The military sniper rifle comes in 1:11.25ish twist,..so you have no worries with pills that light.

  Not at all.
  
  The bullets you mention will be stabilized with a 1:13" to 1:13.5" twist usually, given the velocities of the WSM cartridge.
  
  The 1:10" twist has been the standardized twist for the .30 caliber cartridges forever. This twist will even handle the heavyweight 250 RN lead core bullets at the extreme end of the scale. The 1:11" twist came about from the target shooting community and those shooters that use the longer VLD bullets for both pursuits. This twist is the best compromise for the longer bullets and accuracy but will work quite well with the lighter bullets also.
