Good 9mm and 40 cal loads

A friend wants to put together some loads and needs a little info. What would be a good load for 9mm practice loads and 40 cal practice loads? Shooting out of semi auto Glocks, S&W M&P's and a Ruger.

  My standard 40S&W load is: CCI 500 primer, 5.5gr Unique powder, Berrys or Rainer 165gr plated flat point bullet, OAL 1.120, slight taper crimp. these are run thru a Glock 22,27 and a S&W 4006. Never a problem in any of the guns. This is a middle of the road load for the bullet mentioned.
