ok got everything to start reloading so I went to zero the scales I used some 140gr .284 it read them right one by its self then two togather showed 280 but when I used my lee measure for 36.3 grans with the cup it would not give me thee same reading as the cup
Im lost now could the scales be off even it they read right on the bullets

  Because the LEE cup is off (usually low BTW)

  The cup or dipper can never be very accurate for powder charges since they are only a volume of powder. The density of the powder varies from can to can of powder, the humidity, how YOU dip, how you vibrate the container and dipper and how accurately you dip each time. I would Never trust a dipped charge of powder for safe or accurate reloading as you have seen. The scale will be much more accurate if you set it up properly and check it with test weights. A good powder measure should drop charges consistently within + or - 0.1 grain. A dipper could never do that. Bob

  I find my LEE auto disc measure is off too. Usually to the conservative side, and often end up using the next hole up. Do not assume this however and check first! Try the next dipper and weigh it several times for consistency. A thrown or dipped charge can be more accurate than a weighed charge since the weight is affected by humidity.(batch to batch!) Many competition shooters throw their charges rather than weigh them, after verifying the weight is correct. I shoot a lot of 2230 and 2520 and I cannot weigh each charge with the consistency that my uniflow can throw them. Likewise 2400 and H110. Air currents, temperature, barometric pressure all affect a scale in some way. Electronic interference can affect a digital too.

  thanks for the info guys
  Iv got a friend who is going to bring over some test weights when he gets the time and check it for me and walk me though my 1st few rounds which will make me feel better
  Iv read the 2 reloading books Iv got so hes bring me a couple more to lool over also.
