125gr JHP .38spl load.
I've got a S&W638 that I want to load some hot rounds for(max load). I recently loaded up 25rds of 8.0gr Blue Dot, 125gr. Win.JHP, with a CCI500 primer. Shot 5 and could not believe the amount of "unburnt" powder after ejecting cases. Any help here on a good powder to use for this bullet weight in a short barrel 38spl would be much help. thx reloader44mag.

I like a faster burning powder in a 2" gun. I would use 5.4 gr of 231 in a brass Winchester or Federal case with a 125gr jhp bullet. 0 -
I use a fast burning powder for my snubbies, like Bullseye-231-Tightwad-Clays or Red Dot. 0 -
Try some Tite group. It is a lot faster that blue dot and clean burning too. 0 -
THX guys I've got some 231 and TiteGroup. I'll give them a try. 0
