Potential lead source from retired phone man
Hey all you reloaders, here is a tip for ya.
Ever see phone trucks parked in or near the street with cones out, blower hoses, pumps and yellow cages over open manholes? These guys are working in what we called the underground.
There are a lot of phone cables down there with lead sleeves on them as a splice case. (enclosure) Occasionally they are removed and replaced with more modern stainless steel closures.
If properly approached (DO NOT bitch about your phone service at this time) these guys may be talked out of these lead sleeves, which at times weigh 20, 30 lbs or more. Solid lead.
Now we weren't supposed to take cash (conflict of interest clause), but if these guys were to find some Budwieser or something nearby, who knows.
Oh yeah, don't park in the street (work) zone it could be hazardous to your health.
Good Luck.

I have a friend that works for the utilities and you wouldn't believe what falls off the back of their trucks. Which kind of a bush turns beverages into lead? I will just have to stop and ask that utility worker on the side of the road. 0 -
