For trap and skeet I'd think that fit would be crucial. Any way you can try them out? If you close your eyes and bring it up to your shoulder then open your eyes, is one lined up better than the other?
Can't speak from personal knowledge about either of these two guns, but I'm sure folks will be along shortly to help out there.
    Good luck.

Field guns are not stocked the same as trap or skeet guns. Fit is definitely a major issue for competitive shooting. I prefer a trap stock for both trap and skeet but I shoot trap more. The primary difference in a field stock, a skeet stock and a trap stock are heights of the comb (all 3 have different dimensions). There are other differences but the comb height is the most critical. If you have access to a skeet or trap club, see if you can shoot with other skeet or trap shooters; perhaps shoot a round with one of their guns. I would recommend you look for a used skeet or trap gun here on gun broker for a starter gun. The Remington 1100 is a good choice and the Beretta 391 is a good choice. Over and Unders tend to dominate most of the competitive shotgunning activities but the gas operated autos are very good alternatives.
