Rice without polish. Add polish if you want to make it shiny.

If real dirty-walnut with polish. Clean-corn cob or rice.

Well if you REALLY want to get it clean, an ultrasonic cleaner.

Tumblers do more for the outside. Not so much for the inside with rifle brass.

Haven't tried rice, but it might be great. For me, it's walnut to clean or corncob to polish. I stopped using polish additives altogether because after a while they form a gray crud on the cases that has to be scrubbed off by hand. Dry media also empties from the cases much better with no hidden clumping inside - which I'm sure could raise pressures to a possibly dangerous level.

I have preferred using corn cob (extra fine). It does a great job and is clean to work with.

I use Lyman's walnut media and a little polish.
Ran a TON of cases thru it and no problems so far.
