baby powder?

tried a little experiment tonight, i was looking for a way to lube the inside of my 308 case necks.i use dillon spray lube on the outside but i needed an inside the neck lube. i took a pill bottle filled it with number 9 shot and baby powder, coat the shot real good by rolling them around inside the pill bottle then just stick the neck down into the shot powder mix,when you pull it out of the bottle wipe the powder off the outside of the case neck with your finger.works great and cheap and easy.what do you think?

    Hello I think Bonanza made a small red box that you could mount of your reloading table it has 3 short brushes that looked like a short bore brush the box was filled with a white powder buy I think it is called motor mica it worked great I still have mine but don't know if still available

    Midway still carries the brushes and mica.

    That is a great idea. Ive been doing it with a brush.. I am going to try it today.

    I used the mica and brush system for years and it works well. I have started using Lee water based case lube and putting in in the necks with a Q-tip. It works as well and is less messy. It gets dry quickly.
