IMR 4895
I'm looking for info to load 243 with IMR4895 using the 100 grain Nosler Partition bullet. My loading manuals have loads for the 95 gr. but not 100. Can any lead me to a book that has loads for the 100 gr. using this powder?
Thanks,

one of the best powders to use in many Cartridges [:p][^] 0 -
I use it for 308 and 30-06 for semi-auto use. 0 -
Just a tad faster than 4064. If you can use 4064 for it you can probably use 4895. Good for everything from 223 to 45/70 with appropriate charges. 0 -
It's one of the best powders for light loads in anything made...... 0 -
Wish someone would give me 10lbs of it. I use it for my garand reloads. 0 -
Thanks for the info fellas , next time I'm loading a few rounds I'll check my manuals to see what loads I can use it for .
Pa deer season is right around the corner [:p] and I'm always making a few 270's , 308's or 06's0 -
I've use it in 223,243,308, and 30-06. One of the most versatile powders made.
My M1A loves 42grs of IMR 4895 behind a 168 gr. Sierra Match King in 308.0 -
It's too fast for top performance in the cartridges you've mentioned but will work for somewhat lighter loads in those. Tons of it were used to load 30/06 military ammo. 0 -
My favorite powder in single stage presses I have but no longer use it in 223.
In a Dillon/progressive press the stick/extruded does not measure accurately enough.
It is super for light loads and generally 60% case capacity works fine where as most of the powders you have used could be dangerous in similar use.
If one could only have one rifle powder it would, IMO, have to be 4895.
I sue it presently in 308 sniper/target loads and 8MM Mauser for sniper loads. I have switched to TAC for 223.

I wish I had an M1A to love it [8)]
Thanks again fellas , for all the info .0 -
IMR 4895 is my favorite powder. I've used it a 243 for years and now in a 204. For me it produces very accurate loads. I've tried a couple of other powders in a 204 but I think the IMR 4895 is going to be hard to beat. 0
