Pointed bullets for 35 Remington
Does anyone know if the Hornady SSP bullets in 35 caliber would be to soft or thin jacketed to shoot out of a Remington 600 bolt action with the 18 1/2 inch barrel. I know these bullets are intended for single shot pistols but my gun is only 4 1/2 inches longer than the barrels on the Contenders.

The bullets will work great. 0 -
kshock,
The 180 gr. SP Single Shot should be terrific at the velocities attainable with your rifle and cartridge. I've used these and several others out of this Single Shot line of bullets and have gotten good performance from all unless I exceeded the velocity parameters.

I've done it - works fine - but there is just something about a big round nose that I like. 0 -
I love the .35 Rem. I have a 141 Rem. with a 24" barrel. It thinks it's a Whelen. and shoots 1/2" groups with 200 Gr hornadys!! 0
