RSBC Hand Primer ?
New to reloading, just bought RockChucker Supreme kit,all went fine with decap, sizing, expanding, used lee carbide dies. Now the Hand Primer ?
Cant seem to get the Lee shell holder into the hand primer, must I use RCBS shell holder ? The Lee fits in nice when I remove the shell holder post, but will not fit into hand primmer when placed on the post, post is "belled" at the bottom (plastic). Are Lee shell holders tapered or belled out at the inside bottom ?

Shell holders for a press and shell holders for a hand primer are different.
The shell holders for the hand primer do not have the lower flange that fits in the ram of a press.
You must have a set of shell holders for a hand primer.
Brand (RCBS, Lee, Lyman) doesn't matter.

On the RCBS web site it says you have to use the same shell holder as post 1980 RCBS presses. 0 -
I don't like the RCBS hand primer. I tried one several months ago and found it difficult to use. I much prefer the Lee hand primer. They are cheaper and better designed in my opinion. 0 -
Had the same problem. Have RCBS holders for 2 of my calibers & a Lee for the other caliber. Had to used a die grinder to reem the bottom out a little, then it worked just fine. 0 -
I certainly appreciate al the responses, I knew I would be set in the right direction here.
Thanks guys and I guess I'll be looking at a new hand primer.0
