Best Sporting Clays Ammo

Good morning everyone, recently I have been using Winchester AA light recoil loads for my Beretta Whitewing 12 ga. and the patterns have seemed to have spread out more than ususal. Is there a quality control issue at Winchester (or is anyone else having the same problems)? What other shells would you suggest using (and yes I also use the Wally-World Winchester and remington cases, but not for league night)? Thanks.

    Try the Remington STS shells. I and several friends who shoot a lot more than I do switched to them when Winchester came out with the "NEW" hulls. We have been very happy with them and reloading is the same as using the "OLD" AA hulls but the STS hulls last longer.

    Ha Ha; that's a classic Mr. Odawgp.
    Mr. Mile; haven't heard anybody complaining in my little skeet circuit but that's a game where we like wide patterns to allow for slow reflexes and poor head control. You might try Fiocchi, they have a pretty good advertisement going now in the shotgun magazines. Only thing I can think of about the Winchesters is what with the way the metal stock market is going now they might be scrimping on the antimony that controls the shot hardness. Softer shot has a tendency to deform more when fired; therefore disperses more widely when it catches the wind.

    At the price of ammo these days I use the cheap federal value pack. Works ok, and costs a lot less.

    the same can be said with reclaimed shot, the already deformed pellets are said to be more flighty than new round one's

    honestly I can not tell the difference I either break the bird or I don't If the shot was place properly it should not matter the type of shot or how it pattern's IMO
