How can I apply gas checks? no tool on hand
anyone have a trick for applying checks ? glue, silicone sealer, etc?
I sure don't want one to come off and lodge in the barrel,is this a concern?
I have 500 boolits that need the checks applied.
thanks !

Sorry. the gas checks have to be forced on through a gas check seater or a sizer/luber die. In other words they are crimped on, not just "attached".They will usually stay with the bullet even after it stops.
Just out of curiosity, how did you come this far? Meaning, are the bullets sized and lubed already with no gas check installed? Did someone forget? Are they sized at all? Do they have a place for a gas check?
I am just puzzled as to your dilemma.0 -
laser cast sells them that way,and that is how a buddy bought them.
It was years ago,and he prolly didn't really know what he was buying...just bought them and stored them away for the future.0 -
cheap way is use a lee sizer die 0 -
Mobuck, does that sizer die have to be used in their sizer they sell? 0 -
lee sizers fit in a regular reloading press no other equipment needed. 0
