Novice wants to load plinkers for 308 and 45
Hi
I am very green when it comes to reloading. I got a Lymans book and have been reading it. I have a single stage RCBS press on the way that has dies for 308 and 45 coming with it. My first goal is to start reloading the 308 in order to save some $ on ammo. That said, I have plenty of brass but need advice on bullets and powder. I appreciate any input.
Cheers

44.5gr varget under a 168gr pill with a 210M primer in winchester brass for the 308. Start at 43gr and work up watching for pressure signs. 0 -

Thanks again. That is a wealth of info. I am not looking to be that particular as of yet but any info is good. I am shooting a CETME so it is more for fun than anything else. I appreciate your help. 0
