Lee Keyed Sabot Slugs?
Has anyone tried reloading the Lee keyed slugs for a slug gun?
I was looking through a Lee catalog and they sell a mold for casting your own lead sabot slugs. You utilize a standard plastic trap wad to put the slug in. It has a keyed base that fits with the wad. Supposedly, the wad contacts the riflings giving it spin.
This would allow for alot more economical shooting with a slug gun. I have 2 rifled 12 gauge slug guns and would shoot them a lot more if sabot slugs were not so expensive ($12 a box of 5).
I'll throw this over in the reloading forum as well.
Thanks, Don

They work really well from a fully rifled barrel and are easy to cast and load. 0
