The vinegar and water works wonders and i bring mine to a boil on the stove then strain the brass shavings from them and let them dry on the table overnight they are dry and ready next morning.[8D]

Depends. For just a few cases, wipe it off with a rag. For lots, either tumbling or boiling. Vinegar works well as noted; while soap won't shine the cases boiling in soapy water for 2-3 minutes will dissolve the lube fine.

I personally use an old deep frying basket in a pot when boiling.

Tumbling the lubed cases in the media will zap the usable life out of the media. Tumbling after sizing will also get media in the flash hole. Tumble then size then clean out the primer pocket then use the vinegar/ water/ soap bath and rinse well with hot water in a screened dish (collander) place on towell rub around a little and place in a 170 oven on a pizza pan.
    Heres an interesting read

OR you could BE REAL anal-retentive like me and use an ultrasonic cleaning tank, cleans in and out.

That extreme is not necessary, its just how I do it.

A further thought.... some folks are ok with tumbling loaded rounds, some aren't. I have done it but don't make a habit of it- but am told that ammo manufacturers do as a final step (can't vouch for that). So if you are worried about tumbler media clogging the flasholes/primer pockets, AND use a lube that truly dries and doesn't contaminate (I like Lee's) tumbling after loading is an option.

Tumble the stuff and replace your media a little more often. Inspect flash holes as you prime if using a hand primer otherwise, take a couple of seconds per case to check them. If you have time to hand wipe all your empties, you've got way more time than me.

All you guys (and girls maybe) should wipe them down individually so you can check for split necks, and problems such as that....
Bounty paper towels work for me, I even use them for patches......
