7.62x39
I recently purchased a Lee 7.62x39 reloading die, I am wondering why they gave two depriming pins that are the same size .310 and they are not opening the mouth of the case enough for me to seat the bullet. I put my mic on the bullet and the bullet size is .312.

I would like to know if it is possible to load 150 gr bullets for a Remington 799 in 7.62x39. I called Remington and they said the bore dia. was .311. I have a hornady manuel that lists loads for the .310 123 gr bullet in a sks. Would these loads be max for the 799 also? 0 -
Sure, you can load a 150gr bullet in the 7.62x39. You can also load .308, .310 and .311 bullets in there as well. Some rifles with the larger dia. .311 bore will shoot the smaller .308 very accurately and some like the larger .310-.311. Only your rifle can tell which ones will work best.
Lots of load data out there for the 7.62x39 with several bullet weights and powders.

What do you plan to do with this 150gr load? Hunting deer sized game with this round requires a bullet that will expand and penetrate at these slower (2100-2200fps) velocities. That puts you in the 30-30 class bullet like the 150gr Hornady RN, 150gr 30-30 Rem Core-Lokt RN, Speer 130 and 150gr 30-30 FN or rapid expanding bullets like the Nosler BT.0
