Can load shorter ammo with longer die sets??
Can dies sets that are designed for a certain round be used to load shorter variants?
What I mean is can a set for 357 mag be used to load 38 special?
same for 9mm largo for 9mm luger? 32 H&R mag for 32 S&W long?
There are doubtless more combinations, but those are what I can think off hand.

Sorta works the other way. Short dies will load longer cart, the shell holder hits the die the other way. 0 -
357 dies work for 38's. The 32's should work fine. You can try the 9mm's and see. 0 -

357 Dies will size a 38 case, but you may not be able to set the belling die low enough and you definatly won't be able to set the seat/crimp die low enough.
Combo sets (38/357, 44spl/44Mag etc) use the sizing die for the longer case, and the bell & seat/crimp for the shorter case.0 -
The place you are likely to run into problems is with crimping. I just pick up an extra crimp die for $3-$5 at the gun shows and shorten it. 0
