Load for Taurus 1911
Just bought a new Taurus 1911. Anyone have a good load to start with? Thanks

Im assuming its an 45ACP and not a crazy conversion. 5.6gr Unique, Horn 230gr XTP, Rem Caes, Federal primer. Shoots good for me. For more 45 loads I think you can go wrong with Unique, Bullseye, W231 0 -
I have been shooting 4.7 Gr. of PB powder, Winchester primers and 230 gr. cast bullets for several years in my Kimber. I like PB because of its versatility and consistant metering. 0 -
Sorry it is 45 ACP. Whats PB powder? 0 -
Six grains of Unique pushing a 230 Cast bullet, any flavor primer is fine. 0 -
I shoot 4.7gr.PB-200gr.SWC. Very accurate in any of my 1911's. 0 -
My Taurus shoots about anything I put in it. I have found that the barrel leads a little with cast bullets. I shoot 200gr swc with 5.8Gr of 231 and 230 fmj with 5.3gr of 231. 0 -
200grOre Trail RNFP bullet and 5gr Bullseye is my standard shooting load, works in every 1911 I've found, I load JHP or XTP carry loads a little hotter.
For what it's worth.
