7mm wsm

I recently purchased a new winchester model 70 coyote in 7mm wsm.
I need some input on a good factory ammo for it and a good re-load.
I am a big remington fan and this my first winchester and my first 7mm wsm, so if anybody has any good or bad to say about the gun or caliber I appreciate the input.

  Factory ammo is pretty steep. If you are just buying it to get familiar with the gun and to get brass, I would say get the Winchester silver box stuff, or Federal Fusions.
  
  My suggestion if you are going to reload is just buy the components and run the load ladder to familiarize yourself with the gun.
  
  My recommendation for bullets would be the Nosler 140 grain BTs for working up loads and practicing and the Accubonds for hunting. Or if you don't like Noslers, you can do the same thing with Hornady's 139 grain SSTs and Interbonds.
  
  The WSM's like to be pushed near the max as well. I have had good results with R-19, MagPro and Retumbo.

  It's a LOT cheaper to get the reloading stuff and make good rounds. I've settled on 67.3 gr. of H1000x behind a 168 gr. Berger or Sierra. I've yet to try the 175 but That will be a good one. I was working with VV N160 and 165 (more 165) and not getting quite enough velocity. That's when I tried H1000. I turned around and bought 8lbs. the next week.

  When I purchased my Win 70 Coyote I did so as a basis for a tactical rifle. Thinking someday I would replace the stock and then the barrel. Possibly go for an aftermarket trigger if I couldn't get this one downright perfect. Well to be honest I haven't had to do any of the above. I found that a good bedding was needed. and that was about it. I cleaned out the rubberized bedding and put in some 2015(double-barrel epoxy, aviation grade...past shelf life = free). The barrel was good from the get-go after that. I have shot a number of sub-.5MOA groups with the barrel that is on it. It may get better but not until I shoot this one out. The trigger was very easy to adjust. With minimum honing it was also smooth as water on ice. Well, maybe not quite that good. But very good nevertheless. It was a real pain getting the sealant off the threads to adjust it though.
  Then since I liked my AR-30 with the huge muzzle break so much I put one on it. I've found it isn't as effective as the AR, but reduces recoil significantly, It also doesn't hamdammer my sinuses. Post-shot leaves the target 'in-scope' the whole time. If I hold hard and recover fast I can see the hit @300 yds. That was the purpose of the brake. Not what some people think, and that is merely to reduce tough recoil. It's to keep you on target.
  
  One other load I worked up to was 61.5 gr. of H4831 behind a 162 gr. Hornady A-Max. That ran @ 2892. It was pretty accurate. I would say it stayed right with what other good loads would do and that is just under MOA. I may have some good groups but consistently sub-MOA is what I'm after as long as I can attain a velocity threshold.
