This is for #4 Enfield owners/rear sights
Dear Friends,
This may be common knowledge, but I discovered that on the machined ladder sight the battle sight hole is exactly right for a #40 small tap, which will thread it almost imperceptibly and allows the use of a Merit adjustable sight or most American apertures if you have a favorite sight. Mine needed a little windage tapping on the front sight but shot to point of aim (bullseye on top of post) at 100 yards and is much, much easier to see and align than the huge hole in the battle sight. Different height front sights are usually listed in bags of 5 on eBay if you are off in elevation, but I didn't have to change mine. I've been using it for two years now and it makes all the difference to us older shooters!
Best,
Mari
