Primers mag vs standard

The mag primers are fine to use. I got about 15,000 CCI mag primers a few years ago and have worked up loads using them. I see very little difference in performance. The chronograph results are not that different on the .357 mag, 44 mag 45ACP and 30-06 I have shot the most of. At most it "looks" like a .2-.5 grain difference in the MV of the tested ammo.

I do use mag primers all the time in the 6BR. They seem to offer more consistent ignition of the powder column.

I might avoid using them with super fast powders like bullseye; but that is opinion by caution not factually based information.

My experience using CCI 300 and 350's in my .44 mag. revolvers was that velocity was virtually identical (as chronographed at 10 feet) for my standard load of 21 grains 2400 and the 350 as for the same 240 grain hard cast bullet ahead of 22 grains, same powder and CCI 300's.
    Accuracy was also comparable.
