Tumbler Medium Got Wet
I've been reloading for more than 40 years, but just recently got a case tumbler and haven't started to use it yet. The tumbler came with a bag of medium and a bottle of brass polish to treat it with before actually polishing any cases. Problem is that the bag medium (looks like crushed walnut shells) got wet and some mold has started to form. Is there any reason I can't dry it out and proceed? (i.e. add the polish, which I haven't yet, and start cleaning cases?)
Thanks,
Rob

Put it in a tight weave pillow case and run it in your dryer for a while. Don't dry any clothes that are worn around your face for a couple of loads. 0 -
I'd just run it in the tumbler with the lid off for a few hours if it is a top load model. No reason not to use it. 0 -
Thanks guys. I removed a few pea sized black clumps, dried the rest, and will make some shinny .222 brass tonight.
