Burris, Since those are the only choices you mentioned.

You picked the best two scopes for the money. It's personal preference.

Burris uses a lens coating which filters out the Ultraviolet lights and the Infrared's are much brighter. So you'll see that red's, oranges, and yellow's are brighter.

Nikon is the opposite, they filter the infrareds and concentrate more on the Ultraviolets. Blues, greys, and greens are brighter in the Nikons.

Nikon, I see as the brighter scope under hunting conditions and I recommend it over the Burris.

You really can't go wrong with either.

Burris,..it's it and that's that,...from the choices you have. Burris is top notch and I can personally attest to their FAST and NO BS warranty.

Well I am no big fan of Leupold as far as I can tell they are not really any better than Nikon or Burris

    I have 2 Nikon Monarch's.

I did also consider the Bushnell 3200 elite and don't know anyone who has one and can't find any localy so that I can look at them

It seems like it is easier to find a house than a scope ypu are satified with[;)]

I have the two scopes on 2 of my rifles. Burris will be the way to go. Buckmasters is a good scope. The Monarch is much better though than the Buckmasters. Good Hunting

For the two theat you picked I would go with the Burris, but if you could find a Nikon Monarch then go with the Nikon, it is a great scope and I favor it over Leupolds that are twice the price.

Monarchs cost twice as much. I love the two buckmasters that I have.

    Nikon all the way.
I have three and a fourth on the way. Two are 4.5x14 monarchs and one 3x9 prostaff. For the same money, there just isn't any comparison, in my humble opinion.
I just picked up a Rock River Varmint w/ a 24inch ss barrel. You can bet the next scope on it will be something similar, but in a mil-dot.
