22 Lr cal. cowboy silhouette loads

I'm having some fun selecting a 22 lr load for lever action silhouette shooting which will begin in April at our club. At first I shot 10 different loadings at 25 yards and found the best groups were with Wolf match and Remington sub sonic. Shooting is done with iron sights. However these loads do not shoot flat and drop 9 inches at 100 yards, the velocity being 1050. I'm going to try the hotter loads from Winchester and Remington 1300-1400 fps because I don't want to adjust the sights too often. The Remington cyclone advertises - 1.8 at 100 yards, whatever that means. I'm setting up targets at 25 and 100 yards and see how much the bullet drops over that range. Zero at 25 and shoot at 100 and see the fall. It'll be our first time shooting at this sport and many of us are looking forward to April.

  Try sighting in at 50 yds and use Kentucky windage, no adjustmens needed.
