Loading for 40 S&W
After loading rifle calibers I am finally jumping in to loading my first handgun, a 40 S&W. Since I only neck size I am unsure on how to buy dies. Redding makes a few 3 die sets and I am interested to know people's experience with any of them. Also am I wrong to assume the sets will have everything I need in regards to dies or will I need 4 dies?

buy carbide dies they will last longer and you will not have to lube your cases. If you are looking for everything buy LEE three die set
comes with
resize die
exspander die
seater
shell holder
and a handy little scoper
all for less than $25 bucks0 -
A set of carbide dies and the shell holder. With Carbide dies no lube is needed. 0 -
I like the Lee handgun dies.... great price and I think they work just as well as the brands costing several times more. 0 -
Another vote for the Lee Dies. 0 -
i have loaded thousands of 40 S&W with a 3 die carbide Lee set. I favor AA5 powder for jacketed bullets and 231 for lead. 0 -
Lee dies are good, but I like Redding better. 0
