prone scope

Hi,

Is there a common or preffered magnification used for smallbore prone? Indoor and 50 yd.

Back when I was shooting small bore (20 years ago) most evey one was using a fixed 10 power with a few of the outcast shooting with a fixed 12 power.

I shot a Unertl 20X indoors and outdoors is small bore NRA three position.

I have an Anschutz 1907 with a Unertl 1 1/4" 14x target scope. I don't shoot in any formal competion. But have been considering going to higher magnification and larger objective. But, my scope looks like new and am not sure if the increase in power and slight increase in brightness is worth the price, increased "wiggles" and additional pound or so in weight.
