Carbon fouling, a good cleaner
I'm a newbie to the group, so this may have been covered in an earlier thread, but here it
is for what it's worth:
A 50 BMG benchrest friend suggested that I try GM Vehicle Care "Top Engine Cleaner"
to get the carbon fouling out before I attack the copper with Bore-Tech Copper Remover.
I am amazed at how well that GM stuff works. He aso builds engines for Pontiac Fieros,
that's where he got the idea.
(We're all eccentric on this list, I think) and I can tell you that by my borescope inspection
this stuff works amazingly well, better than the commercial cleaners I have tried, and that's
quite a few. The product # at your GM dealer is#1050002 for a 15 fl. oz can. Don't let them sell you the little one-shot bottle. I know we all have our favorites but if you get to feeling
bored with yours give this a try.

A spray carburetor cleaner works to. 0 -
If it is that good on carbon you better be real careful not to get it anywhere else on the gun. I bet it would be really rough on the finish on the wood. 0
