lack of reloading supplies 223
anyone else having trouble getting supplies ,midway was out of stock on a lot of 223 with no back order [V] and still looking for my 50AE i bought here on GB [:(]

I spoke to a Remington person who told me most of Remington's production of ammunition and componants for all the calibers used by the military is going to the military.
The ripple affect starts to impact the other calibers as well.0 -
Midsouth got their backorder from Hornady about Thanksgiving. I hit both Grafs and Midway to get enough primers. I have noticed that a couple of other places have listed stuff as "restocked" so supply may be catching up. 0 -
I must live in an alternative universe as Midsouth has 40 cal Hornady and no more in 223.
I also checked with many others and there is less supplies considerably so than a couple weeks ago.
Recent announcement claiming the US military has placed orders for "billions" of rounds taking up all US manufacturing in 2008 may suggest a further lessoning of ammo altogether and by default reloading components and perhaps speculating but does it not stand to reason 223 components would be the hardest to find in all this.
I know, there is no ammo shortage it is just the manufacturers causing hype to get us to buy more!!!
