treatment for inside the holster

should you treat the inside of a leather holster with any kind of oils to maybe help prevent ware on the finish of the handgun? my guns are blued and black finishes

  I use silicon spray on mine to reduce friction.

  I like BALLISTOL it is good for all metals wood and leather is non toxic bio-degradable. [:p]

  Silicone spray works very good. Don't use any thing that will soften the leather.

  silicone spray is the quick answer! Also do not store your pistol in the leather! This promotes rust, corrosion and can stretch the leather out of shape for a looser fit.[8D]
