MRP Powder
My Speer manual lists MRP Powder for some loads 7mm Mauser, 284 Winchester, 30-.06
I've got some powder labeled as Match Rifle Powder. Is "MRP" match rifle powder? Who was the manufacturer?

WoW Norma made some Magnum Rifle Powder this was a number of years back and was a very slow burning powder good for large over bore cases . I have never heard of Match Rifle Powder This could pose a danger if you use the wrong powder for your manual. 0 -
Accurate made a Magnum Rifle Powder as well. I have also seen it listed as MRP. I picked up some of it when it was discontiued. I use it in 270 and 30-06. 0 -
MRP and MRP2 are made by Norma but very hard to come by. The MRP is basicaly RL22 which was more consistent when tested after production. 0 -

JustC,
Graf&sons sells the full line of Norma powder. I bought 3 lbs of MRP when they first got it and my .300 Wby did not like it as much as it did RL 22 although they are basically the same powder my rifle liked the RL 22 best with a 9 fps deviation in a 10 shot string.0 -
Good to know it is available now,..a few years back it was almost non-existant. 0 -
