Reloading dvd/video
I want to learn how to reload and don't know anyone who reloads. I was wondering if anyone has seen any of the reloading dvd's/videos and what you thought of them. I'm going to get the abc's of reloading and the Lyman reloading manual and a single stage to learn on. I think it is easier to learn by watching something and was thinking one may be helpful and if so maybe santa could drop one off. Let me know what you think. Thanks very much[:D]

I learned from reading reloading manuals and had a buddy talk me through stuff. Never had any one actually look over my shoulder, to assist. I only reload hand gun rounds so I can only speak of that. I have reloaded for 20 some years and have never used anything but a single stage press. If you read the manuals and REALLY follow the directions you will be fine. You will find the most "complicated" part will be setting the die up for seating and crimping the bullet, best to practice with some dummy rounds to get the hang of it. I know many here prefer a progressive press, I reload for many different rounds,9mm,38spl.,357mag,40S&W,45acp,41mag,44spl. and 44mag. It may take some extra time, but to LEARN, I highly recommend a single stage process to start. You can always upgrade once you understand the mechanics of reloading.

I'm anal when it comes to doing things like that right and I can read and follow directions so I think I'll skip the video. Good advice about the dummy rounds too. I'll let you know how it goes next year b/c I'm going to get the press from santa. Thanks for the reply[:)]0 -
I make a "dummy" round for each load that I do. If I have to reset the seating die later I can get it really close with the dummy round. Saves some time. Sierra has a great section on the reloading process in their reloading manual. 0 -

Extremely detailed, they explained the process from start to finish and made it entertaining as well. I've now been reloading for
a couple of months, tighter groups, and took my first blacktail deer
