My recent experience with Lyman Customer Service

I bought a new Lyman 2500 after ruining several Midway cheapies over the years. Figured a decent tumbler should last a while, and the larger capacity would make my life easier. After 30 days of use it died, and in the process smoked up my basement. Sent it back to Midway, and as usual their great customer service replaced it immediately.

I like the tumbler, and think it was a good value if this one lasts. Only time will tell.

What kind of life can one reasonably expect from a tumbler? I bought a Frankford Arsenal last year and tumbled less than 2K rounds before the motor bearing wiped on it. I haven't gotten around to contacting them yet, but I know I won't buy another. Not sure what I'll get-don't wanna spend a ton of cash.

Well my original Midway 1292 tumbler (pre Frankford Arsenal) ran for 12 years and I ran it hard. My dad has had the same tumbler for 14 years and his is still going strong but he hasn't run his as hard. I have a buddy that has the Dillon CV 2001 big tumbler and it has been through a fire and runs 24 hours at a time usually and he has had it for at least 10 years. Call Midway I would be willing to bet that they will replace. It should last several years I think.
