45 colt for hunting?

i was just wondering if the ruger bisley vaquero is strong enough to handle the heavy loads for hunting listed in the reloading manuals. i plan on loading them with 300 grain hornady xtps. any advice would be appreciated. i have been loading them with 200 grain cowboy loads but have never really tried anything bigger. thanks

  Yup, strong enough to handle the Ruger & TC loads. At least the older vaquero (full sized). I do not know about the downsized version.
  
  I load a Ruger Bisley with 250 gr XTPs to about 1200 for hunting.
