357 shot capsules

how much unique should i use behind a 357 speer shot capsule full of shot?thanks

  My Speer manual shows 5.5 gr of Unique with a capsule full of #9 shot and an overall length of 1.5" in a 357 magnum or 38spl case with the base plug down in the case.

  Pearyw has the same load that I use in a 38spl case and it works fine. I use an OAL of 1.52".

  Just curious.
  What do you plan to do with them?
  I've loaded shot capsules in my .44 and never cease to amazed at what a short range they have. If you plan to hunt anything with them be sure to do lots of patterning and penetration testing at the ranges you will consider.

  We used them when I lived in Florida to shoot cotton mouths and rattlers. They are deadly on them, out to about 15yds.
