Bench nearing completion
Here it is, so far. More stuff still to arrive. Also no powder or primers yet (got lots of brass to prep before then) Any suggestions for mods are welcome!

Looking GOOD!
More light would be my suggestion. You'll find that you want it as bright as possible. I know it's hard to tell from pictures, but it looks as though you'll need it.
I like having a 4' flourescent light bank directly above my head, that way, when examining a loading block full of charged cases for double charged loads and uniformity, it's easy to see the powder levels.
Otherwise looks really nice!0 -
There is actually (2) 4 footers, one over each side, and a 24 inch task light on each side. It looks darker because it's so washed out by all the light. I plan on 2 more 24's for under the bench (on the shelves)its rather dark there. 0 -
Looks good.. One thing it's way to clean... You need a couple of boxes worth of clutter... It you give me your address I'll send you some of my extra...[:)]

Looks good. I would paint the top with a durable, washable paint. It will make cleaning it much easier. It will help keep things from embedding into the wood. If it gets to dirty you can always add a coat of paint. 0 -

In my gun room , I have some ref. charts on the wall ( overall lenghts for different cartridges , shell holder chart . Another thing that comes in handy is a bulliten board , you can get one thats half cork ( for hangin stuff with thumb tacks ) and half for leaving little reminders , with those markers that just wipe clean . A gun mat comes in handy , and a Dillion calender with a nice honey holding a rifle [8D] . You'll find out after a while all those little things that you use alot will find a spot near by in an easy to reach spot , I have one of those plastic orginizer ( did I spell that right )that folks use for nuts and bolts come in handy for storing little things . A nice comfy stool ( adjustable ) Staples has some real nice ones for around $100.oo or so . Just some ideas for you [8)]
Also , looks like your loadin some 50 BMG's or am I seeing things .

Nope, your not seeing things-those are .50's. Still pretty new to the reloading thing so they're just decapped and FLRS'd I'll load them when I get some bench time under my belt first. Until then, I make empty brass!
Funny you mention the bulletin board-I just bought the exact one I think you're talking about.
You can see the shell holder charts hanging right next to the shell holders there too.
Still need to make a tool holder for all my trimmers and pocket cleaners. Hunk of oak I got kicking around is the likely candidate. You can see the first attempt in the first picture (block under the shelves on the right)0 -

Instead of painting, I bought some cheap (read return/scrap) linoleum at Home Depot and then glued it to the top. It cleans up really easy and looks good too.0 -
I'm not sure I'll paint or not. The top is 3/4 Birch Plywood, so the surface is pretty smooth. 0 -

It's not how smooth the top is but rather that it is sealed from absorbing all the dirt and crap that comes with reloading and cleaning cases. Your tops will stay much nicer, longer if you use some sort of clear sealer if you don't want to paint or cover them.

Absolutely!
I know it's hard to believe that just doing some reloading can be dirty but it really does generate a lot of ugly dirt. That dirt gets worked into the bare wood and becomes permanently imbedded in it. In order to keep the wood surface looking nice, either use a clear filler/sealer or stain the surface first then seal it. That way, your work surface can be wiped down whenever it starts to look a little grungy.
All of my horizontal surfaces are laminate so clean up is easy. Lighter surfaces make it much easier to find that little screw or small part when it jumps out of your hand and onto the work surface.
You've got a very nice looking space. Please post more pictures as you progress.

Getting used now!!!!!!
Got about 600 .223 done and 200 .308 primed
All the 30-06 and .40's are cleaned and ready for primers.'Bout half the 50's are waiting on primers and powder.
Just bought an M-44, so now I have another caliber to buy dies for!!!
