So .308 load data will work for my M-1A ?

No 7.62x51 Nato is loaded to lower pressures than maximum .308 loads. Also, you need to stay away from slower burning rate powders when shooting in a M1A. For example, I load IMR 4895 in my loads for my M1A.

it's loaded to the same pressure of the 308win,..but load density is lower due to the thickness of military brass. When using military brass,...load down and work up.

You can beat those M-1A's to death, using too fast of a powder... They are designed to operate within certain narrow parameters..the pressure curve being very important.

Get loading data FOR those semi-auto's...and be wary about loading hot.
I haven't loaded for one in many years..just remember it being a bit 'choosey' about what it liked.

yep,..the gas systems need a narrow range of burn rate to not be damaged. Hot rodding bolt loads in a semi-auto like the M1A might cost ya a lot of repairs.
