...and I have found two cheap ones that will do for me.
Midway's Tumbler or the Lyman 1200 Pro Turbo tumbler.
They both are about that same cost, so which one is best?

My Midway tumblers work fine. Had them for some years now. No compliant. 0 -
I own both and they work equally as well. I have had a earlier Midway that had a motor problem and they promply replaced the entire unit. 0 -
One thing with the Lyman that I don't like is that it doesn't have an on/off switch. You have to plug it in to turn it on and vice-versa. 0 -
I would go with the lyman. I have been using there products for awhile now and havent been let down yet. Cant beat the price of the other though. 0 -
Bought the Cabelas kit when I started out. Gave me everything I needed to get started. Got twice as much media as needed to fill
the bowl.

I have been using a Lyman " Turbo 1200 " for about 10 or 12 years , but its starting to show its age [B)] I will admit that I did abuse it though . Ran it for more then 24 hours at a time more then once or twice ( forgot it was running ). Lots of times it would be running over-loaded , but I must admit , it still works to this day [:)]
The springs it sits on are loose , and I had to " BONDO " the housing body together , but it still works !!!!
I'm thinking about getting a new one and was waiting to see what the good folks here on GB had to say( thats why this thread caught my eye )
I will more then likely go with the same thing [:)] Turbo 1200
What I'd like to know is , what works better as far as cleaning [8)]
walnut shells or the corncob stuff , I only used the corncob media .0 -
I have a lyman 1200 and it is a good tumbler It really does a great job 0 -
My old Dillon has been running well for quite a while now, but seeing I use a Ultra Sonic
for all my case cleaning now I'm sure it will last lots longer 'O)0 -
I also have a midway tumbler. No problems. 0 -

You need to put your tumbler on a timer anyway. Just buy a cheap one from walmart and set it for a couple of hours and don't worry about it. It'll keep you from forgetting and leaving it running for a week or two. Don't ask me how I know. [:D]
