Skip the 35 grain - they WILL blowup...about 8.3 feet from the muzzle.

    ddhotbot,

The 1:14" twist should handle normal bullets up to about 55 grains. Really though that twist will handle bullets up to 0.645" in length since that's how twist is figured.

The slower twists will be a bit easier on the lighter, more frangible bullets like your 35 gr. but remember that the faster you push lighter bullets, the more stress that is applied to the jacket and they can disintegrate on the way to the target. Don't try to set land speed records with these light bullets, let them get all the way to the target in one piece.

    Best.

55 to 60 gr bullets and VARGET is a hard combination to beat in almost any rifle. The rifle you are using is the best of the best.
Stay away from the 35 gr.

Well, B17-P51 said everthing I was going to say so I will second his post. Although to be in complete agreement with him his handle needs to change to B17-F4U CORSAIR!![}:)]

    34 grains of IMR4895 works good for me behind a 55 grainer,just a thought
