scored lousy again, but its OK
I tried to shoot beyond my abilities and it didn't work out so well. I went for some target head shots when I didn't have to, shot weak hand and strong hand when I didn't have to, but somehow I am OK having stretched abit. Better luck next time.

Sounds like, what I call......learning.
Change it up a bit, just because you didn't "have to".....
It's still a good way to find your limits.
I've been known to put 3 or more in each target, 2 in the body, one in the head, just for fun.
You ARE still having fun, aren't you?0 -
Yep, still fun. The organization is tolerant of beginners so thats a big help. I'll try IPSC next, not because I want to go fast but because IDPA is only one weekend a month and I clearly need more time in the saddle than that. I could go to the range more often to punch paper but I don't learn anything, unless I accidently stumble upon a technique that works.
This last match I did well only on the last stage, and its the only stage where I can swear that I saw the front sight. I cannot remember what I did on the previous stages. What I need to learn is that for now, when the buzzer goes off it means that its my turn, thats all.

Hang in there -- Everybody has been there once. It'll come [^]. 0 -
How about weak handed, upside down, squeezing the trigger with your pinky?
We shoot this way with wheelguns for Cokes at the Club.
Try it some time - it is an old Police technique (and I do mean old)0 -
The way I look at it is that every aimed round sent downrange is another step in the learning process. If you get closer each time you prove the point. 0 -
If you don't try,how will you ever do it? 0
