New trigger for Savage
Purchased a new trigger for my Savage model 12, 223, single shot.
NOW, it has a trigger.
Will have a little range session, to allow a little bit of breakin, do the final adjustments, and go from there.
This is a pre - accutrigger rifle. IMHO, the original trigger was t-e-r-r-i-b-l-e. Was not adjusted from the factory correctly either - the overtravel adjustment was backed all the way out. Locked in place, but not adjusted correctly.

What kind of trigger ? Aftermarket ? 0 -
Purchased a stock Savage trigger...but it has a sear adjustment screw. 0 -
2 1/4 trigger pull....can go lower, but this is just right. 0 -
Was this out of an older Savage with the sear adjustment? I didn't know they didn't have the adjustment on the newer ones(or was it just a bad one).
That weight pull (the 2 1/4lbs) on up to about 3lbs is where I set most of mine for general use as long as they break clean -- Got some real light pulls on some target guns, but I prefer to "feel" the trigger a little before it breaks.0
